1000348 - N119

1.5 ETCP renewal credit (recognized trainer logo) Thursday, 10/20 The ancient art of knot tying is one of the most important skills for a theatre technician to possess. Knowing the porper knot and how to use it increases the safety and efficiency of almost every area of entertainment technology. Join knot-master, Tracy Nunnally, as he teaches several basic theatrical knots and illustrates how  they are used in our industry. More complex knots will be discussed and explored, if there's sufficient time. By the end of this workshop, an attentive person should be able to tie the three mjor knots that all theatre technicians should know: the bowline, the figure eight on bight, and the clove hitch with two half hitches. Bonus knots will be included it time permits. Speaker: Tracy Nunnally, president of Vertigo; professor, Northern Illinois University
