C06: Why is Dance Lighting So Hard To Get Right? Designers often say lighting dance made them better theatre designers, but they rarely say the opposite. So if it is all done with the same instruments why is it so darn hard to get dance right? We will use the light lab, pictures, and videos to break down the different angles in dance lighting and the unique relationship dancers have with light and the role designers play in creating dance works.   Moderator: lighting designer Kevin Dreyer
