Mike Daniels has spent seventeen years as a professional lighting designer in many different styles of live (and not so live) performance, including theatre, dance, opera, video, and corporate/special events in and around the Washington, DC area. Currently, Mike is an exhibits specialist at the National Museum of the Marine Corps, where he oversees and designs the gallery lighting for both permanent and temporary exhibitions covering 72,000 square feet. Mike has recently shepherded a project to replace the museum’s entire theatrical incandescent lighting system with LED fixtures, and is currently working to design the museum’s Final Phase expansion that will add another 45,000 square feet of theatrically immersive exhibit space.
