Bob Salyer
Operations Production Manager
Bob grew up right here in Las Vegas; back when they were still doing above ground
nuclear testing (is he glowing?). While still in High School he married his wife Linda
and started working at Channel 5 on Boulder Highway (a garage they converted into
a television station) where he eventually worked his way up to the On-Air Master
Control Operator position. Seeking his fame and fortune (mainly fortune) he and
Linda set out for Phoenix Arizona where he began working as a Motion Picture
Projectionist. Later they would move to a small town in Arizona named Cottonwood
where he managed two local theatres. In 1974 it was back to Vegas to start working
for the largest production show ever to hit the Las Vegas strip, “Hallelujah
Hollywood” at the MGM Grand where he would spend the next 4 years. And thus
would begin Bob’s career in theatre. He has worked at just about every theatre on
the strip including 3 years at the Lido show at the Stardust as a Spotlight Operator
and Relief Front of House Audio, 7 years with Siegfried and Roy at the Frontier Hotel
as the Head Electrician and 14 years as the Production Manager for Siegfried and
Roy at the Mirage Hotel. Bob joined the O Show in 2004 as the Technical Director
and eventually became the Operations Production Manager in 2006. Bob’s favorite
pastime is fly fishing. He and Linda have 3 children and seven grandchildren.
