Clifton Taylor. Broadway: Frozen; Jay Johnson: The Two and Only; Hot Feet. Off-Broadway credits include several productions for City Center Encores as well as numerous commercial plays and musicals. Regional productions throughout the US including most recently for the Alley Theater and The Dallas Theater Center. In addition to his work in the United States, Taylor has created lighting, projection and scenic designs for opera and theater companies in Europe, Asia and South America. His designs for dance have been commissioned for the repertories of Paul Taylor, Alvin Ailey, Martha Graham, ABT, Boston, Washington, San Francisco, Rio de Janeiro and London’s Rambert Ballet companies among many others. He was a principal consultant on the creation of the southern-most opera house in the world, Teatro del Lago in southern Chile and he consulted on a new performing arts center currently under construction in Santiago de Chile, Center Gabriela Mistral. He has lectured at universities and professional conferences all over the world, most notably on the subject of color and light and he is the recipient of several awards in design.
