Eric Rouse
Technical Director
Eric Rouse is the technical director for the Tony Award-winning Denver Center Theatre Company where he manages all of the scenic construction and installations for a 14-show season. He has worked for Flying by Foy as a project manager and flying director, and Cirque du Soleil as lead rigger for maintenance for the show "O" at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. He spent 10 years as the technical director and head of the BFA and MFA of Scenic Technology at Penn State University. Eric is an ETCP certified rigger and trainer. On top of his "real job," he teaches rigging seminars and performs rigging inspections across the country and abroad. He performs inspections on the Royal Caribbean Fleet of cruise ships for Sapsis Rigging, and has taught seminars for Columbus Mckinnon, Disneyworld, Cirque du Soleil, Le Reve, Thomas Truss, Mountain Productions, and IATSE Local 1 in NYC.
