Mr. Vannice grew up and was educated in Montana where he received BS degrees in Electrical Engineering and Theatre Arts from Montana State University. While there he served as Technical Director and help found The Loft Theatre. Ken then moved to Los Angeles where he was in various engineering management positions with Kliegl Bros. lighting, and then with Colortran. At Leviton - NSI / Colortran in Portland he is the Engineering Project Manager for Dimming, and Compliance Manager. Mr. Vannice is USITT Engineering Vice-Commissioner for NEC Affairs and represents the USITT on National Electrical Code Panel 15. He is a member the ESTA TSC and co-chairs the Electrical Power working group. He is also a member of the ETCP Council and is the SME Chair for Electrician Certification. Ken also serves on a couple of STP’s for Underwriters Laboratories. He is a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society, Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers and International Association of Electrical Inspectors; and is a Registered Professional Electrical Engineer, Certified Entertainment Electrician and ETCP Recognized Trainer.
