Jeremy Hodgson started his career at Chichester Festival Theatre in the UK as a stage hand. After spending three years there, learning the craft, he moved to the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester, again as a stage hand. From there he moved into performer, flying working for Flying by Foy, starting with a UK national tour of Peter Pan. During his eleven years with Foy, he helped establish their UK presence and became managing director of the UK company. In addition to working the UK, Europe and Asia, he worked for two years in Japan on multiple projects. Wanting to have more hands on experience with theatrical automation, his next move was join Cirque du Soleil as the Head of Automation for Quidam, which he toured with for the next three years, at which point he received an opportunity to work on a new creation, KA, as the Automation project manager. After KA, there was project management for Love, and then he took a role based in Montreal, overseeing the automation infrastructure for further Cirque shows such as Zed, Zaia, BeLIEve, Viva Elvis, Iris and MJ-One. Jeremy now works in the Las Vegas division office as a Technical Manager supervising a team of maintenance technicians, and supporting all existing and future resident shows with their Automation requirements.
