Disruption: Safe Evacuation and Restoration of Event Facilities
Live Outside is LDI's new event dedicated to the design, technology, and safety considerations for outdoor events and festivals, in a non-permanent concert setting. The non-profit association, Event Safety Alliance (eventsafetyalliance.org), has teamed up with LDI to present a series of four, one-hour sessions covering the essentials of safety, evacuation, and important weather decisions. Live Outside and the ESA sessions are open free to all LDI attendees. What is an effective evacuation plan? What are the benchmarks of an effective evacuation plan? What determines an evacuation? Who makes the decision to evacuate? What is "safe shelter"? What must happen before restoring after a disruption? What are the common communication protocols?
